WHAT IS THE PURPLE POINT?
It is a comprehensive service focused on fighting all types of violence and harassment, being a safe point where anyone can approach to report a situation of harassment or violence or to receive information and advice on how to address it.
It is important to know that both the people who attend it and all the Center’s staff (security, cleaning, management, maintenance, etc.) have been trained to attend and activate the appropriate protocols in response to any request for help.
A commitment promoted by the Ministry of Equality that involves all of us as a society. In Elche, we have meeting places such as Casa de la Dona that also promote actions and activities for the promotion and empowerment of women, being key in the service of assistance to women victims of gender-based violence.
Objectives
To maintain L’Aljub as a safe Oasis free from harassment for all people who visit us and to involve the entire population as agents of change and promotion of women’s equality. As well as to facilitate accompaniment to victims and information on how to act in a case of gender-based violence: what it is, its different manifestations and how to detect it.
Because going shopping, meeting someone you met on a dating app, having a coffee or going to the cinema alone should never become a risky situation.
